NoaMar Markets is opening next month in Babylon Village.
As previously reported, the Spanish grocer will be run by a husband-and-wife team, Frances and Heri Beiro, who are both of Spanish descent.
“It is so exciting; I can’t wait to open,” Frances told GreaterBabylon this week.
NoaMar, located 238 Deer Park Avenue, will be hosting a grand opening on Sunday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the party, NoaMar will be airing the FIFA World Cup finals — the owners are hoping Spain will still be playing, of course — while serving Estrella beers and wines and complimentary Spanish tapas.
In addition to Estrella, NoaMar will be showcasing its imported items from the northwest regions of Spain such as oils, milk and meats.
“We have very enthusiastic distributors who can’t wait for us to open,” said Frances, who said her family would drive as far as Queens for similar products.
After months of transitioning the former Off The Track Delicatessiant into their dream shop, NoaMar’s owners were quick to say they couldn’t have done it alone.
“The town, the village, and the chamber of commerce all of have been so great,” said Frances, who also lives in Babylon Village.
“We couldn’t ask for a better team.”
The market and bistro’s hours will be Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
