After being rained out last week, the Annual Fair at Argyle Park is set for Sunday, Sept. 12.
And the sun should be shining.
According to the staff at the National Weather Service ,on Thursday they were predicting a mostly sunny day with a high of 77 degrees.
That weather is perfect for enjoying the fest’s over 300 craft vendors, as well as food stands and live music. The Annual Fair will be running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The opening ceremony for the event, which saw over 45,000 people last year, is scheduled for noon at the Babylon Village Gazebo.
“Also featured will be our popular pumpkin beer (beer booth now located along the dock), roasted corn, bratwurst and pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, a farm stand with local produce, pies and plants,” said Frank Petruzzo of the Babylon Beautification Society, which runs the festival.
According to Petruzzo, the beer booth will also be raffling off prizes such as gift cards, bikes, tickets to the Argyle Theatre, a 32-in TV.
“We look forward to it every year; it is our biggest fundraiser,” Petruzzo told GreaterBabylon.
