One of the Town of Babylon’s largest parades of the year is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 15.

Starting at 6 p.m., roads will be closed off for the annual Babylon Town Fire Department Parade.

“The parade will use the traditional Memorial Day Parade route,” said Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino. “Ending at the fire department at North Carll Avenue and will be followed by a block party.”

The party will take place in the department’s parking lot and will feature food, drinks, and live music.

The parade, which will feature representatives from all 12 of the town’s departments, runs south down Deer Park Avenue and turns onto West Main Street.

“Come down and support our great volunteers!” writes the Babylon Fire Department’s Facebook.  “This is a great opportunity for everyone to hear the town’s best marching bands and see various fire apparatus throughout the Town of Babylon!”
