North Babylon has a new coffeehouse to call its own.

North Babylon native Sal Gervasi, who co-owns three Bean coffeehouses in Babylon, Bay Shore, and Patchogue, transformed 775 Deer Park Avenue into his newest venture, Babylon Bean North.

As previously reported, Gervasi used to own the space in the early 2000s, when it was Lane Luncheonette. Over the course of a few months, he took the 1,000-square-feet building, which housed an acai bowl eatery previously, and made it into his coffee shop.

Since opening, the current Oak Beach resident says the response has been overwhelming.

“Everything has been so great so far,” he said. “The neighborhood has been very welcoming.”

In addition to serving barista drinks,  there are breakfast and lunch items, as well as bakery goods and acai bowls.
