The Babylon Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its summer street festival the Babylon Block Party

“The first [Block Party] was particularly fantastic,” said the chamber’s president, Kelly Peckholdt, “It was just before Labor Day Weekend, and people came out in droves to dine outside, shop, and celebrate the end of summer.”
Because of its inaugural success, the chamber—which runs the event with the Babylon Village Restaurant Committee—will be adding a third day.

This year’s dates for the afternoon event, which begin at 5 p.m., all on Thursdays, are below.

The dates

  • June 13
  • July 18
  • August 29

“Both the Chamber and the Restaurant Committee are excited to make this year’s events really great for our community and are very grateful to Mayor Scordino and the Board of Trustees for approving a third date for us this summer,” said Peckholdt.

The Block Party, which runs up and down Deer Park Avenue onto Fire Island Avenuee, consists of live music, vendors and penned off areas for restaurants to expand onto the streets.
