A day filled with pooches, exercise, and advocacy is being planned by the Babylon Rotary Club.
The non-profit is hosting its first-ever Paws for a Cause Dog Walking Event on Saturday, April 20 at Belmont Lake Pavilion.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., dog lovers will be able to walk their pets together, while enjoying food and games. All the proceeds raised from the day will benefit two Long Island animal rescues: Last Hope of Wantagh and Almost Home of Patchogue.
“Everyone has a soft spot in their hearts for dogs,” said Babylon Rotary member Kristen Morse, who adopted her dog from the Babylon Town Animal Shelter.
During the day, the Babylon Town Shelter will be on hand with adoptable animals.
Tickets are $20 online and $25 the day-of. Click here, to purchase tickets.
