It’s time to ready those costumes because this Saturday is the Babylon Village A Safe and Fun Halloween Trick or Treat Parade.

Traditionally, the parade is held outdoors, until last year when the rain moved the activities indoors.

It was for the best, says Kelly Peckholdt, president of the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce, which runs the event.

“We scrambled last minute a few days before to shift plans, and it ended up being a huge success,” she said.

Like last year, the parade will be at the American Legion Hall, located at 22 Grove Place.

From 10 a.m. to noon, the chamber will be a DJ, magician, photo booth, and refreshments at the Legion Hall. At 11 a.m., Bobo the Clown will lead the parade around the hall.

After that, businesses on Main Street and Deer Park Avenue will be handing out candy to dressed-up kiddies.
