It’s about to get real spooky at Tanner Park.

From Oct. 25 to Oct. 31, a haunted walk called Trail of Terror will be running at the Copiague waterside park.

“We know there are a few haunted-inspired trails and spook walks, but we wanted to put something together that is local,” said event organizer, Jamie Alfalla. “There is nothing like this in the nearby area.”

The event is organized by Festivals on the Bay and sponsored by Sully’s Wharf, which are the people behind the popular Fall on the Bay and Winter on the Bay festivals at Tanner Park.

But this won’t be a typical spook walk, says Alfalla.

“This is going to be an actual experience,” she explained. “People will enter in groups, and they will see six major scenes, and be shocked at each one.”

Anyone 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

“It’s going to be really scary,” said Alfalla.

By the trail, which is located at the boardwalk by Sully’s Wharf, there will be a DJ, food, beer, and Halloween-inspired cocktails. Costumes are encouraged.

The event runs on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and weekends, from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person for presale/online, while $30 per person at the door. Parking is free.
