West Babylon has a new grocery store to call its own.

On Wednesday, the German-based discount grocer Lidl held a grand opening for its new store at 725 Sunrise Highway.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to the diligent teams who are bringing you a new way to save,” a company spokesperson wrote on Facebook.

The grocery chain features an assortment of grocery items from eggs to their new deli. Fresh baked goods are baked every day from the Lidl bakery and fruits and vegetables are delivered daily to ensure quality.

In addition to West Babylon, Lidl also hosted a simultaneous grand opening for its Center Moriches location. The stores are the first two opened so far on Long Island.

There are future plans to add more locations on the island, including in Patchogue, Oakdale, and Huntington. Those stores — and more — are expected to open in 2020.
