The sisters behind the new salad and wrap bar in Babylon Village has helped fed hundreds of frontline workers over the course of the pandemic.

At the height of the health crisis, the owners, Kristy Furci and Maxine Sterlacci, launched a donation program via their website.

On the site, people can buy donation packs for salad bowls. For every salad bowl donated, The Green Fork team matched two.

Since March, the restaurant has donated well over 900 meals to hospitals, nursing homes and police precincts.

“We felt an immense duty to help in any way that we could,” said Sterlacci. “What these frontline heroes are doing every day is nothing short of a miracle.

“The courage they have is proof of the goodness in this world and we wanted to thank them, support them and uplift them.”

The sisters also donated Immune Boosting Shots with every donation they made.

“The hospital has called and placed their own personal orders for them as they said it makes them feel strong and “keeps them going,'” said Sterlacci.
