Babylon Village is celebrating Pride Month with a car parade this Sunday, June 28.
The event, organized by village locals Bob McKeown and Michael Roman, happens from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the downtown.
The Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce is working in cooperation with both McKeown and Roman for the outing.
“People are happy to see Babylon Village support Pride Month,” said Danielle Vergano, the chamber’s vice president of special events.”This is something fun and something to look forward to during these hard times.”
This is also the first time the village held a parade of this kind for Pride Month.
The procession will start in the municipal parking lot behind Fitness Incentive, where people can decorate their cars. From there, the vehicles will be led to Main Street eventually turning right onto Deer Park Avenue, and then looping back to the starting point.
The rodes will not be shut down for this event.
