Taking over Roomors Gifts in downtown Babylon has been a dream come true for Danielle Vergano.

She began working there when she was 16, and 18 years later, in 2018, she became the gift shops next owner after the previous proprietor, Pat Turner, retired.

“Being able to work at a job I love and continue the tradition 20 years later and now as the owner, is a true honor,” Vergano told GreaterBabylon.

So it was only right to celebrate the store’s 40th anniversary this past weekend in a big way.

From Aug. 1-4, Roomors had promotions on its items, such as knocking off $19.80 off products to celebrate its founding year.

“I just wanted to say how thankful I am for having the opportunity to continue the legacy of Roomors,” said Vergano

This mark means a little bit more too with the state of the world currently.

“This has been the hardest year and a half for the business,” she said. “And being able to open our doors again and resume the job I once fell in love with means so much.”
